The Israel Opera promotion of their upcoming Jerusalem Opera Festival took place in Machane Yehuda market, The Shuk, on Monday morning.
Opera singers performed amid the cheese, fish, fruit and vegetable stands. Surprised shoppers passing by joined in the acts, with some of those extras stealing the scenes.
Gaetano Donizetti’s , L’elisir d’amore, is to be performed June 24-28, on a massive outdoor stage in The Sultan’s Pool.
Only in Israel, or only in Jerusalem, Israel, the singers concluded with Yerushalyim Shel Zahav, Jerusalem of Gold.
Takes a lot to get the attention of the shuk crowd, but this did. It was beautiful!
Worthy of better video, but with so many photographers present, I was lucky to get two minutes.
Absolutely beautiful! Inspiring! Lump in my throat – thank you Real street
Thank you, so glad it was appreciated!
