A few weeks ago I pointed out the reason so many of the knife attacks on Jews seemed to be aimed at the neck and upper torso might be found in the Koran.

Koran Verse 47 4 strike at their necks highlighted crop

Specifically “Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks;”.

Well it seems someone in the IDF has been paying attention. Here’s a look at some new protective gear our soldiers will be receiving. Good.

It’s going to be rough wearing that in Summer though. And of course it will further shift the imbalance in casualty figures so more Palestinian terrorists will be killed during attacks while we suffer fewer casualties. And the world will hate us a little bit more.

Update: these things might need a bit more work before they’re ready for prime time.

Journalist Eitam Lachover of Channel 1 went out on Wednesday morning to film a piece about the new anti-stabbing neck guards being distributed by the IDF, to help combat soldiers deal with the constant threat of knife-wielding Arab terrorists.

During his reporting, Lachover met with representatives of the company that produces the protective pieces of equipment, both for the military and for the private market.

As the cameras rolled, the representatives asked Lachover to try on the neck guard and experience its defensive capabilities.

Unfortunately the neck guard did not hold up to their promises of defense, and the knife stabbed right through it, lightly wounding the reporter.

He’s fine, no serious wound but they company making these is a bit bruised.
