“Throwing shadows in our eyes, it leaves us helpless”
– Neil Young, Helpless

shlomit krigman

That’s how we feel, those of us not in Israel now, we feel helpless. We have friends, colleagues and dear ones, all subjected to the ongoing Islamic Jihad. We feel helpless to stop it and words fail when a dear one from the Israeli Jewish Community is struck down.

Another Jewish woman succumbed to her wounds today from a stabbing attack yesterday. Hearing the news our hearts are broken again.

According to Israel National News:

Shlomit Krigman, a 24-year-old woman who was stabbed during yesterday’s terror attack in Beit Horon, has died of her wounds. Dotors at Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital worked diligently to save her, but were unable to do so.

A statement from the Beit Horon community noted that “Shlomit was loved and well-known. She did her National Service with Bnei Akiva in Beit Horon. During the last year Shlomit lived with her grandfather and grandmother in the community.”

Yesterday afternoon, two terrorists stabbed Krigman. They then tried to enter a nearby store but were pushed out by the owner, who held a shopping cart between himself and the attackers. Once the two realized that they would not be able to get into the store, they ran towards another woman and stabbed her before running off.

The second victim, a 58-year-old woman with moderate stab wounds to her upper body, is still being treated at Sha’arei Tzedek Hospital. Doctors say that her condition is improving.

A nearby security guard shot and killed the two terrorists at the scene.

There won’t be any fanfare. No “Stand with Israel Against Islamic Terrorism” flags on Facebook, because this was a Jewish woman in Israel and according to world opinion, she must have deserved it. Did she live over that imaginary “green line” in a “settlement”? If she did, well then it was justified wasn’t it? A world ignorant of history believes these heinous lies.

What a sick and evil world we live in where a young Jewish woman in Israel is attacked and murdered by Islamic Jihadists. Where she is blamed for her own death and it is ignored in the mainstream media.

Antisemitism is alive and well and nobody gives a damn. Where have we seen that before?

Goodbye, Shlomit. Your family will never meet your future husband or your children. May your memory be a blessing to all who knew you, and those who didn’t.
