At an official ceremony at the Israeli Presidential residence, the diplomatic credentials of Egypt’s new Ambassador to Israel, H.E. Mr. Hazem Ahdy Khairat, were presented to President of Israel Reuven Rivlin.

In honor of the occasion, Khairat and his delegation stood before an Israeli honor guard as the Israel Police band played the Egyptian anthem and the Egyptian flag was raised.

“I presented today my letter of credence to his honor President Rivlin. We spoke in a constructive atmosphere regarding the urgent matters and agreed to work together to reach a comprehensive, and just peace in the region.”

President Rivlin ended his remarks saying:

We may not agree on everything, but we respect each other and because of this we will build a shared future.”

 Hatikvah, the hope.
