Reems Bakery Tries To Discredit Opponents of Terror Mural
No, not busy removing the mural and apologizing to her “tonnes of Israeli customers.” Busy trying to discredit those of us who have an issue with glorifying terrorists.
She has published a Facebook post accusing us of “racist attacks” and falsely claiming it is her social activism that has made her and her business a target.
Friends and Fam,
It’s been over a month since the opening of our new brick and mortar bakery. There have been long hours, celebration, and joy, and we are soaking up every bit of it.
Sadly, we have also had to endure racist attacks on email, phone, Yelp, and social media. As an Arab bakery committed to social justice,we are acutely aware of the troubling path this country is on. We have seen through this presidential administration how Arab and Muslims, immigrants, Black and Brown communities, LGBTQ people, women, and poor people are increasingly subjected to threats and attacks.
Despite how difficult these attacks are, we keep our heads high. If there’s anything we know, it’s that our community gives us the courage to speak up. We are overwhelmed by the messages of love and support we have received from you all. Thank you.
Fake reviews and online bullying won’t deter us. We remain committed to our vision of building strong and resilient communities, and will continue to do so by building a sanctuary space for people to come together across cultures, generations, and experiences. And of course, providing delicious, nourishing food and good jobs for our community.
If you want to support our business, come to our space and feel the warmth, stay engaged with us through our email list, and invite others to be a part of this beautiful network.

Again, this is an outright lie. This is the reason she is receiving negative publicity.
And she knows it. But rather than back down and remove this offensive mural, she would rather besmirch those of us who detest terrorism. And she has plenty of support from the Israel haters and left.
She as also been busy having these minions complain to Yelp about the negative reviews – with success.
Most of the negative reviews have been removed, with no doubt more on the way.
We need to keep the pressure on. Leaving Yelp reviews that do not reference the mural but rather the food or service will likely yield better results. It may also be worthwhile contacting the (Jewish) mayor of Oakland Libby Schaaf:
