WATCH: Drone Footage of Yom Ha’zikaron Memorial Day Motorway Siren

I decided to take my new drone to see what it looks like when the siren sounds at 11am on Yom Ha’zikaron, Israel’s memorial day for the fallen in wars and those murdered in acts of terrorism. At 11am people gather at cemeteries all over Israel for a service which starts after a nationwide 2 minute sounding of the siren. This is the same siren we use for air raids and rocket alarms.

As you can see most people stopped, a few didn’t and most of those who stop pull over. I didn’t see the guy in the dark car parking smack in the middle of the road under the gantry shadow until I looked at my film later!

I’m new to drone flying, depending on how the laws pan out in Israel, I’m hoping to get some pretty pictures!
