StopAntisemitism.org has drawn my attention to an antisemitic incident that happened back in my birthplace of Australia.
The following note was sent to an institute in Bondi, Sydney:
For those who know Sydney, this is an area with a large Jewish population.
As disturbing as this is, we are unfortunately already used to it. It seems like hardly a day goes by without some kind of antisemitic incident somewhere in the world. If I posted about each incident, I would literally have no time for anything else.
But what really made me want to post this, in particular, is the last sentence.
“I work at a Centrelink office.”
Centerlink (yes, ‘center’ not ‘centre’ in Australia) is an Australian government agency that is basically the Australian department of social security. If true, this is a government employee, and one somehow involved with making sure eligible people get their social security payments.
And they hate Jews, believing us not deserving of such payments.
The good news is that this Einstein hand-wrote this letter. If true, it should be fairly easy for Centerlink to determine who it is. My first bet would be the Centerlink at Bondi, given Einstein also claimed to live in Bondi.
I call on my Australian readers to please follow up with Centerlink. Let’s make sure if true, the next time this Jew-hater goes to Centerlink, it is to claim their unemployment benefits.
