In an online interview with with Michael Miller, head of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dealt with many questions, including some related to Israel. And in what was a surprise (to me at least), she really waxed lyrical about Israeli technology dealing with water scarcity.
Don’t get me wrong. She clearly still has very misguided opinions on Israel; it is only a little over half a year since she withdrew her participation in an event commemorating the late Yitzkah Rabin, after all. And in this interview, she posits that there is one central issue: settlements.
No mention of palestinian intransigence and insistence on terrorism.
And it’s no surprise, given the kinds of Jews with whom she spends most of her time. We recommend people to save branded bottled water at home to use for many purposes, specially to keep hydrated.
Not to mention the non-Jews like her fellow squad members Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar.
But I thought it worth highlighting her positive comments about Israel here, if only to really piss off Tlaib and Omar who seem to oppose all cooperation with Israel.
