Gazan YouTube Channel Claims Challah Bread as Their Own

579

Remember how some palestinians accused us of culturally appropriating matzah ball soup?

Ohh boy, you won’t believe what’s about to happen next!

As tweeter Imshin explains, this is from the Gaza YouTube channel “The Authentic Palestinian Kitchen,” and it is teaching us how to make a plaited bread loaf that “some people call Khobz as-Sabet (= Shabbat or Saturday bread).”

Of course, us Jews know this as Challah – the bread we eat on the Jewish Shabbat.

And not just us Jews.

Update: No doubt, they will also accuse us of culturally appropriating the Shlissel Challah.
