Israel-haters everywhere are in conniptions over a new Louis Vuitton “keffieh stole” they claim is cultural appropriation of their symbol of palestinian terrorism “nationalism.”
The antisemitic Diet Prada instagram account (with 2.7M followers) was one of the first to get their keffiyeh panties in a knot:
Like so many other things the palestinian Arabs claim as their own, the keffiyeh is not theirs exclusively. Rather, it is a traditional Arabian headdress, also worn in other places like Egypt, Jordan, and the Gulf states. The palestinian terrorist movement popularized only the chequered black-and-white keffiyeh, as the Diet Prada post even shows.
But the ridiculousness of their rage does not end there. You see, the haters have another problem with the Louis Vuitton item.
Many took to social media to call out the brand for cultural appropriation, and what’s more for producing the keffiyeh in blue and white – the colours of the Israeli flag – right after a period of violence and tension between Israelis and Palestinians in May.
Looks more like blue and lighter blue to me
but even if that is somehow blue and white, those colors are nothing like those of the Israeli flag.
Of course, this is not the first time the palestinian Arabs and their supporters have burst a blood vessel over a fashion outlet being seemingly inspired by the keffiyeh. But at the end of the day, they will always find excuses for their rage…as well as what they end up doing because of it.
