How Not To Apologize For Your Antisemitic Tweets: By Tala Halawa

Back in late May, HonestReporting exposed some vile tweets from palestinian Arab BBC digital journalist Tala Halawa during the 2014 Israel-Gaza war. These included one saying “#HitlerWasRight,” and another mocking the massacre of religious orthodox Jews attending prayers at a synagogue in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Har Nof.

Halawa has now been dismissed by the BBC, and what better way to apologize for your antisemitic tweet(s), while denying you are antisemitic, than to blame your demise on pesky Jews Zionists who launched a censorship campaign “international in reach.”

With bonus “woman of color” mention!

All this tweet was missing was a nice graphic.

Actually, this is not the first time she has played into the antisemitic “Jews control the media” trope:

In other words, the whole “I tweeted some bad stuff seven years ago, 3 years before I joined the BBC, but now I am a better person” shtik ain’t flying.

She’s the same shit, just now without a job.

But she shouldn’t worry too much – I am sure Al Jizz or the like will hire her in an instant.
