The NY Times Serves Up a Puzzling Crossword Clue

In the the Monday Sept 27th edition of the NYT crossword puzzle, the clue for 65 Across is “Largest city in the Palestinian state.”

Their 4-letter answer is “Gaza”, unless they really mean “none”, because there is no palestinian state.

I am surprised the New York Times would allow this error in their crossword puzzle. Not because they are not biased enough to falsely claim there is already a palestinian state, but they’ve blamed us enough times for not providing vaccines to Gazans, you’d think they believe Gazans do not even have their own government, let alone a state.
