Abdel Hamid Abdel Jaber (also spelled Abdelhamid Abdeljaber) is a “journalist” who is also a part-time Lecturer at Rutgers’ Middle Eastern Studies Program.
One can only imagine his impartiality as both a journalist and lecturer if his “question” at yesterday’s UN press briefing is anything to go by:
As a reminder, that photo he is holding up is of Miss Universe contestants visiting Bedouins and wearing their clothing. They did not visit palestinian Arabs or steal their clothing (which is similar because the clothing is an Arab thing, not a distinctly palestinian Arab thing). So besides displaying his complete lack of objectivity, he is lying.
Jaber has accreditation from the UN Correspondents Association. I somehow don’t think he will be losing it over this display of journalistic malfeasance. And I suspect if he does contact UNESCO, they won’t be setting him straight.
