Jewish Hollywood actor Liev Schreiber is currently in Prezmsyl, Poland, working with World Central Kitchen to feed refugees who have been displaced by the war in Ukraine. And he just helped cook “900 kilos of brisket” in honor of Passover.”
I’m pretty sure he meant to say “Chag Sameach” there at the end and it came out sounding like “Shag Shamash”, but I think he can be forgiven because he’s a huge mensch. Remember, this is the same guy who has shown staunch support for Israel while much of the world is on the wrong side of history, including so many of his fellow Hollywood celebrities. He’s also about to play Anne Frank’s father Otto in an upcoming Disney + series.
