Ken Roth Seems to Agree With Russian FM That ‘Hitler Had Jewish Blood’

Last week, Human Rights Watch Executive Director Ken Roth announced that he plans to step down at the end of August 2022. When I heard the news, my initial thought was “he must want to dedicate more time to his antisemitism” – and I wasn’t being funny. Roth has, after all, focused disproportionately on Israel when all sorts of real human rights abuses are occurring around the world, and occasionally makes his antisemitism even clearer.

I didn’t post my response (I was too busy preparing for the Israellycool fundraiser, which will be ending soon – hint, hint), but Roth tweeted the following yesterday:

Roth’s scare quotes around the word “lies” indicate that he agrees with Lavrov’s vile, antisemitic comment that Hitler had Jewish blood, a comment that has understandably caused outrage here in Israel and abroad.

Although let’s face it – this tweet and Roth’s previous conduct do lend credence to the idea that we have our own antisemites to deal with. They mightn’t be the “greatest” ones out there, but they sure as hell are a disgrace.
