The “Palestine” appropriation of the World Cup of football continues with full force, and now Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, the former president of Croatia, is being swept into it by the propagandists:
For a start, she is not wearing it, she is holding it, which I think is a significant difference. She is not even “raising it” – which implies a clear act of support – as other propagandists are claiming:
She is clutching it with her bag and only holds it up when the person filming the video engages her. It seems as if they gave her the scarf – suggested by her audible “I have it, I got it” – and she holds it up as more of a polite thank you.
Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović is definitely not anti-Israel, and has even been praised as a friend of Israel.
At the beginning of next year, Croatia will take over the rotating presidency of the European Union for the first time. Croatia will strive to take a balanced approach, which includes “hearing an Israeli voice in the EU.”

Rivlin, who declared that the UN has been anti-Israel for years, said that such an attitude should be accepted as the norm. He praised Croatia as a great ally, and thanked his visitor for Croatia’s support of Israel at the EU, the United Nations and other international forums.“We will remain reliable,” responded Grabar-Kitarović, who in turn thanked Rivlin for Israel’s assistance in Croatia’s bid to join the OECD.
A look at her Twitter feed, and no mention of “Palestine”. Israel, on the other hand..
The desperate lengths the haters go to in order to manufacture their own reality would almost be humorous if it wasn’t inciting so much hatred against the Jewish state.
