Fighting hatred of Jews and the Jewish state almost each and every day can take its toll, and I certainly appreciate it when I read something heartwarming or positive.
Like the following email I received yesterday from a man who fled Syria, and now lives in Australia:
I’m A* from Sydney, Australia.
I’m a 40 year-old Christian from Syria who arrived in Australia about 5 years ago with my wife and four kids. We fled Syria and from the bad culture there.
After arriving in Australia, I started searching for Jewish people living here in Sydney. Not for any other reason but to meet and have friends from those people, who for more than 70 years our stupid Arab governments pushed us to fight against and to hate – just for what they called “Palestine.”
Let me tell you something, I’m Christian and I’m also Assyrian. I did a DNA test here in Sydney from my blood DNA and the results show 30% Mizrahi Jewish and 11.3% Sephardic Jewish!
Even before my DNA test, I was always saying to my friends and family: Why are we fighting Israel? We, as Christians and Assyrians from the Middle East, have the same enemies as Israel – the terrorists like Hamas and other Islamic Brotherhood radical organizations. Why do I need to fight people who have the same civilization as mine? Fight them for other people who came from the deserts and killed our people in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq?
Until now, I haven’t been able to see or meet any Jewish or Israeli people living in Sydney.
For 70 years, the Arab governments destroyed everything beautiful in our countries and closed all the roads for peace. We both can’t live with these people mate. They are very far from the civilized nations. Just look at the World Cup in Qatar and you will know how much they hate everyone who does not look like them and believe in their beliefs.
Please advise where I can find Jewish people from Sydney who believe like me.
One day I hope to visit Israel, my real Holy Land, to visit the Churches and the cities there. And to meet my real cousins like you.
