Israel to Host This Year’s World Junior Swimming Championships

Israel has been awarded the right to host World Junior Swimming Championships in September, 2023.

The Mediterranean resort city of Netanya, Israel, will host the World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships from 4-9 September 2023. Over 600 promising young swimmers from more than 100 National Federations are expected to compete.

The six-day competition will take place in the Wingate Institute, a facility purpose-built for hosting world-class international swimming events. The venue, Israel’s National Centre for Physical Education and Sport, includes a 50m competition and 50m training pool.

Located just 30 kilometres up the northern coast from Tel Aviv, Netanya and the competition venue make for an ideal location for teams and fans.

This news will be a bitter blow for Israel-haters.

Over 600 exceptional young swimmers from more than 100 countries are expected to compete.

This joins international events in fencing, volleyball, ice hockey, athletics, judo and basketball among many others that are happening in Israel in 2023.

Of course, there is the usual bluster about BDS and “sports-washing” that follows whenever something like this is announced.

You want to know why they’re really upset? Because their fake news is going to be busted.

They know that when these overseas athletes visit Israel, they’re going to have the time of their lives. The athletes are going to see a diverse multicultural modern society and what then? Instead of these athletes supporting the BDS, they’re going to leave with an incredible impression of Israel and share this with all their family and friends.
