It was hard for me to type out a full post expressing my views on the murder of brothers Hallel and Yagel Yaniv in the palestinian Arab town of Huwara yesterday, and the subsequent vigilante attacks against palestinian Arabs and their property. So I expressed my thoughts on camera.

Since uploading the video, I would like to add a few more things.
Firstly, the brothers’ parents called for unity, and their uncle also spoke out against the vigilante attacks.
“We ask to not engage in that..In the family, we are focusing on doing good, that people should do kind acts, that they continue the way of Hallel and Yagel.”
And Rabbi Eliezer Melamed, the rabbi of Har Bracha where the Yaniv family lives, had similar sentiments:
Melamed said that the fate of the Jewish people has always been “to carry the flag of morality, and to bring a blessing to the world… we did not return to our land to dispossess Arabs of their property but to add blessing to the world,” he adds, a clear reference to the riots in Huwara on Sunday night. “Whoever rises up against us, we will fight them and we will win — all within the confines of the law, through the army and the police.”
Secondly, many are reporting the vigilante attacks as a “pogrom” and state-sanctioned violence. It is neither of these things, and the Holocaust comparisons are offensive.
Thirdly, did you know some Israelis launched a Crowdfunding campaign for Huwara residents, already raising more than half a million shekels?
Meanwhile I am guessing the only crowdfunding campaign following the murder of the two Jewish youth in Huwara from the palestinian Arab side will be to buy more candies https://t.co/Ci5Q9eeiZa
