Today is Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) in Israel, where we remind ourselves “Never again.” Although to be honest, every day we thrive in this country is a testament to this mindset.
But around the world, we see reminders that many have not learned the lessons of the Holocaust – unless wanting to learn how to commit a new genocide of the Jews is that lesson.
Just ten days ago in Berlin of all places, Palestinian NGO Samidoun organized a rally, in which participants did not “just” chant “Death to Israel,” but also “Death to Jews.” Democ, an association of journalists, scientists and media professionals who jointly observe, document and analyze anti-democratic movements, has the receipts:
And in case you think “death to the Jews” somehow means in the sense of “death to the Jewish state and the creation of a peaceful Palestinian state in which Jews live in peace with their Arab brothers” (like Marc Lamont Hill probably does) – and not actual genocide – the posters at the march should leave no doubt as to what the protesters meant:
I guess they do make Berlin rallies like they used to..
As a recent report showed, Samidoun is a terrorist organization on the basis of overwhelming and compelling evidence of the group’s connection to PFLP, a proxy of the Iranian regime, which provides the terror group with money, training, and weapons. And we already know where Iran stands on the issue of the Holocaust and wiping Jews from the face of the Earth.
So if you truly support “Never Again”, it is not enough to condemn Neo Nazis and right-wing Jew-hatred. You need to also oppose those working towards the destruction of the Jewish state.
