NBA player Meyers Leonard, who once used the antisemitic slur “k*ke” while livestreaming a video game but has now become a strong ally to the Jewish community, spoke on Wednesday night at a Jewish Community Center in Whitefish Bay in Wisconsin (yes, there are apparently Jews in Wisconsin!)
“Look at the state of the world we’re living in. People need to speak up. And so I’m here to do that through an honest, unfortunate mistake,” Leonard said.
Among other things, Meyers praised the Jewish community’s response to his apology, which was the exact opposite of ‘cancel culture.’
Roger Waters should take note.
