Versafy is a Facebook page with 328K followers, which posts entertaining and humorous things.
Or at least endeavors to. This recent post of theirs – from a series showing what some fathers get up to when they are “babysitting” their children – is neither entertaining nor humorous (hat tip: Naomi):

But this isn’t just about one Facebook page making light of one of the worst mass murderers in history. The photo has been passed off this way by plenty of different websites over the 10 years since it was first uploaded to the Internet.
For instance, it was included in this 2016 post by Kid Spot, affiliated with news.com.au, with the caption “Every baby wants to look like Hitler, right?”
Other websites to post it include:
- Littlefun.org
- Brightside: 26 Photos Showing the Joys and Challenges of Young Parents
- The Story Pedia: 8 Times When Dads Went Too Far To Have Fun With Their Kids (with the caption “This dad tried to give his baby a cute Hitler look.”)
Now I don’t for a second think these websites are run by antisemites. But they are run by people guilty of gross insensitivity.
I also see this as emblematic of the double standards we are seeing regarding offending other minorities vs offending Jews. For instance, do you think for a second a photo of a white baby in black face would feature with a humorous caption on a news.com.au website?
