One of the favorite allegations that Jew-haters level against the Jewish people is how we only care about fellow Jews, relegating non-Jewish people to like-cattle in our eyes. The same Jew-haters point to sections of the Talmud supposedly stating this, either fabricated or totally devoid of context, as if they have actually read a page of Talmud in their lives.
Being a practicing Jew, I can tell you how our believe is that all life is precious, as all humans have been created in the “image of G-d.”
Of course, the impact of little old me telling people this is way less than a viral clip showing a fellow observant Jew putting this belief into action.
The man about to “light himself on fire” wasn’t really going to do so; he is a French muslim YouTuber who goes by the name @dimercitv, who conducts social experiments to see the reactions of people.
In this case, it seems everyone is just sitting or standing around while the man is about to “kill himself”, and only the young Jewish man takes action.
What makes this even more poignant for me is the realization that this happened in France, the very place where Jewish Holocaust survivor Mireille Knoll was stabbed before being burned to death in her apartment by some Muslim thugs.
Of course, the act of this Jewish man is one of many we have seen, which manifest Jewish belief and our role as a light unto the nations of the world.
