A few days ago, the mainstream media reported that Cypriot police had detained five youths from Israel for questioning following a complaint of rape by a 20-year-old British woman.
Naturally, haters were licking their chops at the opportunity to demonize us again:
What these haters – and almost all of the mainstream media – failed to realize (or may have known and just dishonestly omitted) was that the accused were from Majd al-Krum, an Israeli-Arab town.
At least one of the hate sites that initially reported this, Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen news in English
have removed the entire report, presumably after discovering the inconvenient truth.
But Google search, at least as of the time of this post, still shows the receipts:

I guess this is an improvement on what palestinian Arab news agency Pal Today once tried to do after discovering some alleged criminal Israelis were actually Arabs – they left up the report but dishonestly tried to paint the accused as Jews.
