Ireland has, in recent times, done its darndest to reach number one in the list of Most Antisemitic Countries in the World (despite there being some amazing Israel supporters from there). And you know when the head honcho aka Prime Minister of Ireland is part of the problem, the rot is real.
After nine-year-old Irish-Israeli girl Emily Hand was released by Hamas as part of the hostage deal, this is what Varadkar had to say:

To be clear, Emily was not “lost and found.” She was kidnapped from a sleepover with her friend and held hostage for 50 days by one of the most brutal terror organizations the world has ever seen.
It seems that Varadkar’s moral compass has been lost and the poster calling for its return ripped down.
Meanwhile, speaking about antisemitism in Ireland, this is what Emily’s big sister Natalie told Ynet recently:
Natalie describes a difficult experience from her visit to Ireland: “They hate Israel here,” she says. “Tearing down posters in the street, canceling reservations as soon as it becomes known that we are Israelis. I know, for example, that they booked a hotel for us, then, when they heard that we were Israelis, they canceled the reservation. Really ignorant. That’s why it’s important to me that this interview reaches as many people as possible in the world. I hear that people abroad Support the Palestinians and doubt what Hamas has done. I want everyone to read and know that they murdered my mother and kidnapped my little sister.”
Update: Varadkar’s tweet has now been “community noted”:
