US boxing legend Floyd Mayweather has received the “Champion of Israel” award, in recognition of his support for Israel following October 7, which included sending his private plane to Israel with equipment for soldiers that included water, food and vests.
Floyd received the award last Tuesday at a special fundraising ceremony held in Florida, produced by Friends of Magen David Adom in America, and attended by hundreds of guests, including Jewish celebrities such as actress Emmanuelle Chriqui and TikTok star Montana Tucker. The event itself raised about 4 million dollars for Israel.
According to TMZ, the event featured a live auction, which included some items Floyd himself offered, like a courtside ticket to sit with him at a Miami Heat game, and two ringside tickets for his upcoming rematch with John Gotti III.

Meanwhile, I learned also from TMZ that Floyd also attended a pro-Israel march in Los Angeles in October, the same day he sent his jet to Tel Aviv packed with supplies.
At the march he told TMZ:
“I will continue to support Israel and its right to defend itself and its right to exist. I condemn the Hamas terrorists.”
And if that wasn’t enough, he started a fundraiser, selling custom TMT Israel hats, with proceeds going to Leket, an Israeli food bank.
His support for Israel is clearly heartfelt.
What a true champion.
