Once upon a time there was an anti-Israel antisemitic DouchebloggerTM called “Dicky” Richard Silverstein, who came after me because I was – and still am – an effective advocate for Israel.
Although an evil man, he looked and acted so comically, I could not resist making fun of him and exposing him for the evil buffoon that he is.
Besides random posts on him, I had a series dedicated to his nastiness, and a page dedicated to much of his lies, terror support and bigotry.
Alas, I grew bored of him and viewed him as rather ineffectual, with so many more effective antisemites arriving on the scene. So I had not really posted about him in almost a year.
But today, a tweet of his was brought to my attention and I have been reminded that he is still around and worthy of scorn and ridicule.
Dicky is making out like he once loved Israel. It must have been a very long time ago, because he has been a rabid Israel-hater since at least 2005(!), when he first attacked me. Israel’s conduct in defending us following October 7 has seen no change in his behavior or attitudes, contrary to what he is suggesting with his tweet.
As for his laughable claim he is fluent in Hebrew, I have addressed this a fair bit over the years – with the worst example of his lack of Hebrew prowess being his inability to pronounce the (Hebrew) name of his very own blog correctly!
Meanwhile, Silverstein is a really slow learner, because even his tweet highlighted above is attracting scorn from his fellow antisemites (although of the non-Jewish variety).
Does he call any of these people “evil” and “monsters”? Of course not.
