The Guardian Removes Reference to Israeli Whisky From Piece On Best Whiskies Of The World

Henry Jeffreys is a respected drinks journalist who writes for the Guardian, The Spectator, Financial Times and his own Henry’s World of Booze blog, and is the author of the bestselling book Empire of Booze.

Henry recently wrote a column on some world whiskies, which included the (excellent) Milk & Honey (M&H) whisky from Israel, He proudly shared a link to it on social media not long after publication, mentioning Israel in the text.

The next day, Henry noticed something odd (which might not seem so odd for those familiar with the Guardian):

Some time following Henry’s tweet, the reference to M&H was reinstated, with the Guardian pretty much admitting it was deliberately removed, with the addition of a note at the end of the article:

But why was it removed to begin with? The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind simply: The Guardian.

At least their dishonesty led to Henry posting more about what a wonderful whisky M&H is:
