As you probably already heard, Hamas released three of our hostages today, as part of the ceasefire deal: female civilians civilians Romi Gonen, 24, Emily Damari, 28, and Doron Steinbrecher, 31.
And the scenes from Gaza, before, during, and after their release were highly revealing.
Throngs of people lined the streets, including crowds of civilians (men, women and children). All looked happy, well-nourished (some a bit too well-nourished), and with the latest phone technology.
In other words, worst “starvation” and “genocide” ever.
These civilians not only lined the streets and eagerly hung out and posed with their Hamas heroes and their weapons, but also engaged in antisemitic chants (like “Khaybar, Khaybar”, an Arabic-language rallying slogan referencing the Battle of Khaybar of 628 CE, during which Muhammad subjugated, expelled, and slaughtered the area’s tribal Jewish communities). They flashed victory signs, and generally did not act like a population remorseful over what Hamas did to Israeli civilians, let alone their own civilians.
When the three hostages arrived, the crowd swarmed their car and it looked like they would lynch them. Thankfully, that did not occur, but the cruelty of Gazans was on full display.
To complete the humiliation, Hamas released a propaganda video showing their terrorists giving the hostages “gift bags” and “certificates” before they were freed. The bags reportedly included photos of them in captivity.

Surely anyone who still believes Hamas are the good guys, all non-Hamas Gazans are uninvolved civilians, and that Gaza is not a sick society beset by hatred and cruelty, is choosing to believe these things despite what their own eyes can see.

And why they would do that surely has to do with their own hatred of Jews.
