That’s APAN head Nasser Mashni, the most prominent “palestinian” Arab leader in Australia, amplifying an anti-Israel rant by Congressman Al Green.
Mashni has gone out of his way to align his morally bankrupt, ahistorical cause with that of indigenous people, like the Australian Aborigines; he has done this in order to garner support for the idea that the palestinian Arabs – descendants of colonizers – are fellow indigenous people, while the actual indigenous people (the Jews) are the colonizers.
And here he is promoting this Al Green clip with the words “Indigenous solidarity”, accompanied by a brown fist.
The problem is no-one would ever suggest that the African-American Al Green is indigenous to the US. It is common knowledge that African Americans descend from… Africa.
Something Al Green himself recognizes:
I think at this point, Mashni mentions “indigenous solidarity” reflexively, kind of like the way those children’s dolls parrot certain phrases when you pull the chord on their back. It is an empty phrase being cynically used, without a modium of truth or meaning behind it.
Unless he truly believes African Americans are indigenous to the US, which makes about as much sense as palestinian Arabs being indigenous to Israel.
I personally think he meant to take a leaf out of the book of fellow palestinian Arab propagandist Linda Sarsour and promote “Black solidarity,” but got confused.
