Remember Grace Tame, the former Australian of the Year who lead chants of “globalise the intifada” and then dug herself a deeper hole? She found out, losing speaking gigs and then having to close her foundation.
Alas, she has found a knight in shining armor to save her bacon. And that knight is… the government-funded ABC.
I kid you not.

Not surprisingly, Jewish groups are up in arms:
Jewish leaders are outraged over the ABC’s decision to hand Grace Tame her own podcast after she controversially declared the Hamas attack as “propaganda”, and appeared at a pro-Palestine rally chanting “globalise the intifada” earlier this year.
On Tuesday the ABC announced the controversial activist would be the host of a four-part podcast series, called ‘Autistic AF with Grace Tame,’ which will explore what life is like for autistic women and gender-diverse people, available on ABC listen and on the ABC YouTube channel.
Executive Council of Australian Jewry co-chief executive Alex Ryvchin told The Australian that the effect of Ms Tame being given a podcast sends a message that her obscene conduct carries no consequences and even brings public contracts.
“It seems the ABC has determined that Grace Tame is fit for employment at public expense after screaming chants widely interpreted as calling for global attacks on Jews and a radio interview in which she doubled down on her comments questioning the widespread pack rape and sexual torture committed by Hamas, which the terrorists themselves never denied,” he said.
“Everyone deserves a second chance but Tame has shown no remorse or regret whatsoever.”
It should be noted that ABC Australia has been problematic for a while. They have rejected the IHRA working definition of antisemitism, have shown continued journalistic bias in its coverage of the Israel-Gaza conflict, while its method of handling complaints from the Jewish community is problematic.
Maybe ABC Australia’s management should hand themselves this podcast because they are the ones who don’t seem able to read the room.
