Israel-hater Linda Sarsour has been banned from Israel after applying for an entry permit.
Amichai Chikli, Israel Minister of Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism, explained the decision on X:
Sovereign nations protect their borders. Israel will no longer open its gates to those who work to destroy it.
Following a thorough investigation by the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, I have recommended a complete ban on Linda Sarsour’s entry into Israel.
Sarsour is a leading figure in the BDS movement and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), an organization whose factions openly celebrated the October 7 massacre.
She has incited students on American campuses, led campaigns to sabotage Microsoft’s defense contracts with the IDF, and specifically targeted Unit 8200. Her central goal is to isolate and weaken the Jewish state.
Whoever dedicates their life to isolating and harming Israel will not walk our streets. Period
While I have been rather critical of many of his ways to fight antisemitism, Chikli is spot on here. Why should Israel grant entry to someone actively working to undermine us and ultimately destroy us?
As for Sarsour, she is trying to milk this for all its worth; she has uploaded a video bashing Israel for the decision and in general. But the thing is, while she calls us an “apartheid state”, she admits she had full access to mosques in Jerusalem in the same breath:
