The Palestinian Authority has been arguing that the current wave of terrorism was instigated by “Israeli provocations” on the Temple Mount. Hence, some were confused by PA President Mahmoud Abbas’s reticence at having security cameras installed to document Israeli infractions.
Jordanians on Tuesday criticized the Palestinian Authority for rejecting the idea of installing security cameras at the Temple Mount. The Jordanians noted that the idea of installing the cameras was aimed at “protecting the Aksa Mosque by documenting what’s happening at the site”. –Jerusalem Post
If Israelis are the provocateurs, why would Abbas oppose security cameras installed on the Temple Mount? Why indeed.
