The Sheriff opened her mouth yesterday at the UN General Assembly. Which means she said something sensible and post-worthy.
The positive news? A majority of countries did support the US amendment condemning Hamas (62-58 and 42 abstentions). However, the vote just barely fell short of the required two-thirds majority to pass, and was struck down. Then the UN returned to form, with the anti-Israel resolution passing by 120-8, with 45 abstentions. The 6 who opposed it besides Israel and the US were Australia, Micronesia, Nauru, Togo, Solomon Islands and the Marshal Islands.
Every other country who either abstained or supported it should hang their heads in shame.
