A member of Hamas’ armed wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, died after accidently shooting himself while cleaning his gun, officials in Gaza said Thursday.
Medical services spokesman Adham Abu Salmiya said Bilal Zaqut, 22, died from a gunshot wound in the chest in northern Gaza.
The Al-Qassam Brigades released a statement saying Zaqut, 22, “died after accidently sustaining a gunshot while cleaning his rifle.”
Meanwhile, the Hamas website’s report on his death reveals his full name.
Ezzeden Al Qassam Brigades the military wing of Hamas mourned on Thursday evening November 25th one of its heroes, the mujahed Bilal Maher Zaqout ,22, from Jabalia refugee camp.
I can’t imagine his parents were fans.
