Booth Scooting

Back in October, when anti-Israel “activist” Lauren Booth decided to convert to Islam, this is how she described her decision.

Lauren booth veilShe decided to become a Muslim six weeks ago after visiting the shrine of Fatima al-Masumeh in the city of Qom.

‘It was a Tuesday evening and I sat down and felt this shot of spiritual morphine, just absolute bliss and joy,’ she told The Mail on Sunday.

When she returned to Britain, she decided to convert immediately.

She repeated this version in an interview with Iran’s Press TV.

Now, in a new interview,  Booth has embelished her story to include a new “key moment.”

The strong feeling of the beauty of the creation of trees by Allah was the key moment for a journalist, Lauren Booth to embrace Islam in 2009.

Booth said, the feelings came after she took a walk in the woods near her house after suffering many tragedies in her families especially when her husband was in a coma after a road accident.

Classy touch invoking her husband’s coma, especially given she dumped her husband shortly afterwards.

In any event, if this was a seminal moment, how come she never once mentioned it in her earlier interviews after deciding to convert?

Answer: She is full of shiite, and has amended her story because a) she realized how ridiculous she sounded or b) she is playing the sympathy card.

Not that this new version makes any more sense than the old one.

Delivering her special talk entitled “My Journey to Islam” to 300 people here Tuesday night, Booth said everything started when she interviewed the guardian of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine while she was in Copenhagen in 2007.

The renowned journalist, who has worked for Sky News, BBC One and BBC News 24 in the United Kingdom (UK), said the magical journey started when she was experiencing many unusual memories while on a working trip to Iran the same year.
