Where Richard Silverstein Compares Israel To Hitler

Ok, no surprises there. But the article which he uses to draw this comparison actually deals with a new Israel bill addressing disputed ownership of thousands of acres in the Negev, and offering Bedouin residents compensation.

In other words, Silverstein’s hatred for Israel runs so deep, that he feels compelled to compare a positive development for Bedouins to Hitler’s Final Solution.

This from a guy who tweeted the following a few days ago:

He’s as much a Zionist as he is a gentleman, journalist, and productive member of society.

  1. From Silverstein’s own comment rules: “Comments abusing the Holocaust and Holocaust terms may be deleted. Use terms like ‘anti-Semite,’ ‘anti-Israel,’ ‘genocide,’ and ‘Nazi’ carefully as they are often misused.”

I wonder if “Final Solution” counts as “abusing the Holocaust and Holocaust terms”.

  2. He either didn’t read the article or is hoping that no one will read the article (most people only read headlines anyway).

An obvious propagandist with no literary talent whatsoever!

  3. Silverstein portrays Israelis as Nazis so frequently that it borders on obsession for him. His commenters often follow suit.

One egregious example that I remember from last year is the post he called “Netanyahu Advisor Advocates Mass Starvation Against Iran.”

In this post, Silverstein claims that Israel advocates “death, malnutrition, pestilence: the whole nine yards of incremental genocide.”

To illustrate his point that Israels are monsters who do to Arabs what the Nazis did to the Jews, he includes a heart-rending photo of a starving Jew from the Warsaw ghetto.

Does Silvertein ever identify a single Netanyahu advisor who actually advocates this? No. Yet his extensive, graphic blog post was picked up by several anti-Israel sites and used to fan hatred against Israel and the Jews.

  4. Nazis and Zombies

Perhaps Silverstein, reading Israellycool, is trying to scale down on using the “Nazi” word for now.

Today in his blog he dipped into his sick imagination for a different horror image – zombies – to portray Israelis as monsters.

Israel, says Richard, turns young people “into zombies patrolling the streets of Hebron looking for Palestinians to harass, beat or even kill.”

Any connection between Silverstein and the truth is strictly coincidental…
