The Iran Jeans ‘gaffe” epitomises all that is defective in the media. Instead of focusing on the brutal repressive regime, pundits poke fun at Bibi for “having no clue about Iran”, or cite a 2011 Reuters piece claiming something close.
But you know what? Netanyahu’s remarks were so out of line that many Iranians had to bypass their regime’s firewall and blocking of social media to protest him on Twitter and Facebook.
