It started when Oren Kessler, Deputy Director of Research and Research Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, took Clancy to task for claiming the cartoons never mocked Mohammad.
Then this happened.
The cartoons NEVER mocked the Prophet. They mocked how the COWARDS tried to distort his word. Pay attention.
— Jim Clancy (@clancycnn) January 7, 2015
@clancycnn Absolutely untrue. The magazine was targeted in the past over an issue in which Muhammad was listed as guest editor. — Oren Kessler (@OrenKessler) January 7, 2015
@OrenKessler Hasbara?
— Jim Clancy (@clancycnn) January 7, 2015
@clancycnn Huh? What on Earth are you talking about? — Oren Kessler (@OrenKessler) January 7, 2015
.@clancycnn I call you out on your total unfamiliarity with the facts, and that’s your response? Extraordinary.
— Oren Kessler (@OrenKessler) January 7, 2015
Then after blogger Elder of Ziyon took Clancy to task and was called a “ZioNazi” by an antisemitic Clancy fan, the “journalist” did not castigate the antisemite for it, or otherwise distance himself from the comments. No, quite the opposite. He actually groups the antisemite and Elder together, and claims the former is trying to do PR for Israel. Note the reason I am using screenshots is he has deleted the tweets. Covering his tracks, much?
Here’s the rub: @JewsMakingNews @elderofziyon are accounts with about 50 followers…who are also part of a PR campaign that is anti-Muslim
— Jim Clancy (@clancycnn) January 8, 2015
(As an aside, Elder of Ziyon has 12.7K Twitter followers, so this journalist has a problem with simple facts. Looking forward to his upcoming reports on Gazan casualty statistics)
These accounts are part of a campaign to do PR for #Israel @JewsMakingNews @elderofziyon Nothing illegal – but PR not HR : Human Rights — Jim Clancy (@clancycnn) January 8, 2015
And there’s more:
@HumanRights2K Thanks for the glimpse into your dreams. Everyone who stands for Human Rights is anti-Semitic. Great moniker, that. — Jim Clancy (@clancycnn) January 8, 2015
@codemonkey1972 MY numbers are plunging? You have 103 Hasbara followers. I figure there are thousands! Why do they HATE you? Lame?
— Jim Clancy (@clancycnn) January 8, 2015
Remember, this is a journalist for CNN. It is no wonder their anti-Israel bias is so obvious.
Update: Per Elder, there’s more to this epic meltdown!
@HumanRights2K Get a grip, junior. It's my Friday night. You and the Hasbara team need to pick on some cripple on the edge of the herd.
— Jim Clancy (@ClancyReports) January 8, 2015
While the Pals have little hope of convincing anyone of warcrime charges at #ICC they have huge prospect of success with #SETTLEMENTS
— Jim Clancy (@ClancyReports) January 8, 2015
In the meantime, Clancy blocked me, despite me presenting only facts. Here’s my message to him:
And still on the topic of Nicholson movies, Clancy should watch out. If he continues with this meltdown..
Update: This doesn’t surprise.
Funny. #CNN journo @clancycnn blocks 'crazy' #hasbara Tweeters, but seeks the sober insight of @AliAbunimah #Israel pic.twitter.com/kTqSySxUF8
— Adam Levick (@adamlevick) January 8, 2015
This is just sweet. @clancycnn wishes @AliAbunimah a happy new year. #Israel #hasbara pic.twitter.com/zat8YCoKYA
