Watch: Encounter Between German Lady And Israeli High School Students At Auschwitz

I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of all the bad news and highlighting of evil people (yeah, my bad).

Time for something positive. And touching.

A group of Israeli high school students recently visited Auschwitz.

Then this happened.

  1. This is beautiful. It really brought tears to my eyes. Especially as we’re going on a roots trip to Germany in a couple of weeks (I’m going with very ambivalent feelings) at the invitation of my mother’s home town. We can’t keep holding a grudge against the next generation when they are so genuine in atoning for the sins of the fathers.

If only other countries would apologize and “make good” like so many Germans did.

    1. To me she speaks for the Righteous Gentiles of her fathers’ and grandfathers’ generations but unfortunately the present generation of Germany and other countries have shown very clearly by their willingness to turn against Israel, back Iran, and deny the Holocaust even when it’s still within living memory, that she is NOT speaking for her generation as a whole.

  2. I’m sorry, but I can’t agree with the sentiment here. I wanted to like this I really did, but I can’t. I do not hate her, but I hate her Fathers and Grandfathers for what they did to my people. This demonstration, these little yellow hearts do nothing, but make her feel better. Her Fathers and Grandfathers tried to exterminate my people. They tried to eradicate a nation, an ancient society. If you want to atone for those atrocities go do something harder than this. Help someone to survive or to rebuild. Whether it be a Jew or someone else in Israel or anywhere else in the world, there are plenty of people in need of this help. Go help and make someone else feel better instead of giving out stickers and making yourself feel better.

  3. This is so beautiful, very touching and yes there are many who pray daily for the people of Israel inspite of a growing movement of anti-semitism. Israel is forever!!!
