Unthinkable heartbreak. Unthinkable barbarism.

By now, you have heard, or maybe you have not. Two beautiful, talented, loving parents were driving home last night with their four of six children. Driving home. In Israel. Jews. And that’s where their crimes begin and end. That’s all they did. They lived. They loved.

A savage barbaric waste of DNA decided a car with four beautiful innocent children was a worthy target for his murderous hatred and point blank, he executed those two beautiful parents. The kids? He left them to watch their parents brutal murder. Coincidence? Luck? Not sure. Something tells me this was part of his sick demented plan. Cause more suffering. Because that is what this waste of DNA was taught to do.

Except when we can call them names, when we let our emotions get the best of us and we dehumanize them, that is us missing the point. These Palestinian terrorists who murder children, who throw boulders into cars, who throw fire bombs at other human beings, these Palestinian terrorists are people. With blood and with a brain and with human judgement.

Contrary to what the world would have you believe, the Palestinians aren’t senseless victims of some fabricated occupation. They aren’t less capable of making rational decisions. They consciously made the decision to embrace terror. And they remake that decision every single day!

As do all their brothers who are responsible for the vast majority of world terror in the name of radical Islam. Rational people. By painting them as senseless victims, we excuse them of their responsibilities for these savage acts.

It is them, the terrorists, the leaders, the Islamic groups, and those who embrace violence that are responsible for this, and for all the horrible acts we see day in and day out. Radical Islam. Full stop. Say it out loud, Mr. Obama!

So can we bring these beautiful parents back? No. But should we throw our hands up in despair and proclaim that with the world’s utter blindness and hypocrisy, there is no hope for us? Absolutely not.

What we can do is begin to recognize the evil source of it all. To recognize and to declare loud and clear who the enemy is. Not a peace partner and not occupation. No, building beautiful communities that encourage and advance innovation are not the obstacle to peace. Slaughtering two beautiful parents in front of their four kids and leaving six kids as orphans. That is the obstacle to peace!

The world? Let them continue their aggression and obsessiveness toward Israel. I could not care less about their hypocrisy and neither should you. What we should care about and occupy ourselves with, is speaking the truth loud and clear. Recognize evil, the source of evil, those that carry out evil, recognize our enemies and unify around the need to obliterate that evil. Empty ears? No one is listening? That doesn’t change our eternal duty to speak the truth. Never stop speaking the truth.

These events traditionally unify us but our challenge is to maintain that unity and fight the good fight against the barbaric evil.

Peace talks? Obstacles to peace? UN resolutions? I think we can all agree we are beyond that.

Now it’s time to throw away political correctness and declare a war on those that declare loud and clear their desire to conquer and rid the world of important values and freedoms. Freedoms such as going home with your beautiful children late at night as proud Jews in a historic Jewish homeland.

The rest is all of zero significance.

For now, look at these beautiful people. Look in their eyes. You can see they were extraordinarily good people. I don’t know how, but you just can. Read about their lives. Read about their legacy. Embrace life. Because that is us.

Life, peace, and love are at the foundation of everything we believe in. With those principles, we should stand proud and realize that at the end, these beliefs are what will prevail.

Or as our prime minister so beautifully and accurately said in his speech yesterday at the UN:

“in every generation, there were those who rose up to destroy our people.

In antiquity, we faced destruction from the ancient empires of Babylon and Rome.
In the Middle Ages, we faced inquisition and expulsion.

And In modern times, we faced pogroms and the Holocaust.

Yet the Jewish people persevered.

And now another regime has arisen, swearing to destroy Israel.

That regime would be wise to consider this: I stand here today representing Israel, a country 67 years young, but the nation-state of a people nearly 4,000 years old.

Yet the empires of Babylon and Rome are not represented in this hall of nations.
Neither is the Thousand Year Reich.

Those seemingly invincible empires are long gone.

But Israel lives. The people of Israel live.

?? ????? ??

With that knowledge, we can go on. We must!
