You can’t make this stuff up. Unless you are palestinian.
Today, a female palestinian terrorist set off an explosive device after yelling out “Alahu akbar.”
A Palestinian driver activated an explosive device at a checkpoint in the West Bank Sunday morning, lightly wounding a police officer who pulled her over.
The terrorist herself, a 31-year-old resident of East Jerusalem, was severely wounded, says Magen David Adom (MDA). Police said she carried a gas pipe in her car, and was on her way to Jerusalem to carry out a bombing.
Senior Staff Sgt. Maj. Moshe Chen, a traffic officer with the Judea and Samaria District Police pulled her up after noticing her driving suspiciously on route 437, which connects Ma’ale Adumim and a-Zaim checkpoint.
“I stepped over to her car, thankfully wearing a kevlar vest, and told her: ‘Lady, you committed a traffic felony,” Chen told Ynet from his hospital bed at Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
“She didn’t seem to know what was going on, so I started speaking to her in Arabic, at which point she started shouting ‘Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar!’ (God is great) and I noticed smoke coming out of the car,” he said. “I thought her car was on fire, so I ran to get an extinguisher, and then I heard a blast.”
Here’s the palestinian version of events.
A Palestinian eyewitness on Sunday refuted Israeli authorities’ claims that a Palestinian woman set off a car bomb in an attempt to injure Israeli police officers near the al-Zaayyim checkpoint between occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The witness told Ma’an that “a Palestinian woman was driving her car to Jerusalem with her child in the car.”
He added that “some 300 meters before the permanent Israeli military checkpoint near the village of al-Zaayyim, an electrical problem ignited small fire inside the car, and the woman panicked and started to scream.”
“When the woman managed to pull over, the driver’s airbag deployed emitting drizzles of powder,” he added.
Because when I encounter an electrical fault in their car, my initial inclination is to scream “G-d is great!”
Not that the excuse should surprise us. You may recall the family of one of the terrorists who committed a terror attack in a bulldozer 7 years ago claimed it was just a traffic accident.
I guess as long as there is a willingly gullible audience to lap the lies up, they will keep on coming.
