Legacy Media #FakeNews By Omission

Last night Israel was hit by projectiles in both the north and the south. North:

Lets see what happens if I search the front pages of some other sites: New York Times, Israel not found.

Washington Post, Israel not found.

Daily Mail Online, one hit but way down their huge front page and relating to an older story.

Both stories were covered by AP but neither of these made it to the front page of their “Bigstory” site, Israel not found.

And of course Reuters, Israel not found.

Breitbart News has a proper report about it (even if it leans heavily on Times Of Israel) and this report (as of this morning) appears on the front page of Breitbart’s website and I’m obviously not talking about Israeli news sources which all feature the story prominently.

There are already reports that there’s been an airstrike in or near Gaza, killing 2 (according to the ever inaccurate and misleading “Gaza Health Ministry” (Hamas). This story is being picked up all over the place and will gather steam and will then mention, outside of the headline, that Israeli civilians had to run for shelter and some have been to hospital for shock.

And the inevitable “cycle of violence” distortion will follow as night follows day.

What almost nobody will do is relate this to global Islamic terror and Islamic State who are well known to be operating in Egypt’s Sinai (the only reasonable place from which rockets can be launched at Eilat). The key point is not how many people the Islamic terrorists kill, it’s their intention to kill. Just because Israel has the greatest defences in the world, both against rocket terror and the other standard Jihadi methods like knives, guns, bombs and vehicles, doesn’t remove the agency from the terrorists. They are still trying to kill us and each attempt, successful or not, is yet more proof of their malicious desire to destroy.

This is why omitting to report pertinent events is just as #FakeNews as lying about what actually did happen.
