Kudos to this fine young man standing his ground with the Israeli flag – in the face of unadulterated hatred (including from a very young child) – at an anti-Israel demonstration at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
A brave Jewish student from UBC, stood strong and proud in support of Israel and Jews at an anti-Israel demonstration at the Vancouver Art Gallery, 🇨🇦. The protestors taunted him with the burning of an effigy of an Israeli flag, and proceeded to stomp on it in front of him. Towards the end of the video, his Israeli flag is ripped from his hands to the delight of the spectators. Abhorrent and vile. Please like and share!Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱Edit: I thought I would add this below recounting the perspective first hand“I was compelled to speak out as a Jew, as an Israeli when the Palestinian rally goers were proudly displaying the symbol of the Jewish state with a red X through it. So I unfurled an Israeli flag. Upon unfurling the flag, I was greeted with jeers and boos, but initially it was peaceful. Then the mood changed as a group of men broke off from the main rally and encircled me. One of them held an effigy of the Israeli flag and set it on fire, the group drew closer and closer as onlookers stood by and watched. They got close enough for me to see the hatred burning in their eyes, this was not a statement of anger, but an act of incitement. They stomped on the burning effigy of the flag and one coward grabbed my Israeli flag from me and ran off and was greeted with cheers from the crowd. I was shaken up for a moment, then composed myself. The rally continued: "Long Live the Intifada!" "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be set Free!" and most chilling, "Allah Akbar Abdel Jehud" (God is Great, Kill the Jews). After the video ends, they place the burnt effigy on the ground. I felt compelled to retrieve it. As I do so, a man comes up behind me and shoves me to the ground, shouting "Shame on you! Shame you Hitler!" I calmly stood up again, grabbed the cardboard remains and through them in the trash.”

Note at the end how his flag is ripped from his hands. Which is quite symbolic, given what they are trying to do to Israel itself.
Update: This is very reminiscent of this iconic footage from 2010.
