What do you do when you are the leader of the British Labour Party, and have already been sprung as the member of at least three antisemitic Facebook groups, as well as leaving at least one problematic comment in another one?
You deactivate your Facebook account, of course – especially if you or your team thinks this is just the tip of the iceberg, and people may discover more of the same, or perhaps even worse things.
Unless you think this is just a coincidence. I don’t believe in those.
As David Collier, who uncovered Corbyn’s membership in the first antisemitic group, writes:
What does this say about the man who wants to be Prime Minister? That his account is too toxic to remain public and that he is just as certain as we are, that the worst of it is still yet to be found. Shocking that anyone still believes this man is fit for office.
