The following billboard was spotted in Shiraz, Iran, commemorating Iranian soldiers and “martyrs” of the Iran-Iraq war.
Awkward.
It is, in fact, a photo of IDF soldiers – or, as the Iranians may call them, (Little) Satan’s little helpers.
But note the differences. The Iranian version has done to the female soldier what it would love to do to Israel (wiped her off the map). Plus you have to love the clouds, which somehow seem strangely appropriate given the true source of the photo.
The Iranians really need to stay away from Photoshop.
Update: The Iranians have gotten wind of, and cottoned on to, their mistake (cloud puns intended)
In city of #Shiraz, a billboard is taken down overnight after it turned out its image -that was supposed to hail Iranian soldiers & martyrs of 1980-88 war- belong to IDF soldiers (with a female soldier removed).#Iran
