This is not something you see every day: A Lebanese journalist (Nadim Koteich) cutting through the lies and propaganda about Gaza and placing the blame for the Gazans’ predicament at the hands of the palestinian terrorist organizations.
Note how he still referred to them as the resistance – he is clearly no lover of Israel – yet he sees how the likes of Islamic Jihad and Hamas have jeopardized the lives of their own people and chances for peace in this region.
This is not Koteich’s first foray into statements that go against the Lebanese norm. Just last month, he said he supported Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s anti-Iran policy
and in 2016, he reportedly tweeted
“If Israel would have annexed Aleppo, it would have been safe today, like the Golan. Aleppo’s citizens would have been better off living under occupation than living under ruins”
He also seems anti-Hizbullah, which is not surprising given his stance on Iran:
are you going to please send Hezbollah to fight them and save us? https://t.co/fUxGm48ij6

As I’ve written before, the times they are a-changin’.
