As you are probably aware, Israel is currently subject to barrages of rockets from our friendly, neighborhood Gazans – the tally is already over 50 rockets fired, with 20 intercepted by the Iron Dome.
As my Red Alert app continuously buzzes, I received the following video on Whatsapp from multiple people: an unidentified Israeli man stands at attention while the Red Alert siren goes off, instead of running for his life to a shelter. He clearly thinks (somehow) that today is Yom Hazikaron – and thankfully does not become a Yom Hazikaron statistic himself.
You would never see such a scene anywhere else in the world.
