At the Qalandiya checkpoint crossing in Jerusalem, a palestinian Arab laborer sings a love song in Hebrew to an IDF soldier.

There are a number of things to note about this video, not least his amazing voice. Everyone is in good spirits, and the soldier even films his serenade. He smiles at her at the end, and she is also smiling.
Note the comfortable surroundings. It actually looks like the average train station. Sure, it is never entirely pleasant to go through security – we can all relate to that at the airport for example – but this is also not like the images of crowded conditions out in the sun that the haters love to show (this particular checkpoint was upgraded a few years ago).
I am not suggesting the palestinian Arabs love us. But any positivity like this can only help matters and humanize the other.
Having said that, if this does go viral, you can bet the haters will somehow twist this to show how we get palestinian Arabs to perform for us!
