Last Friday, the national rugby teams of Israel and the United Arab Emirates held their first friendly game in Dubai. And while Israel defeated the UAE 33 to 0, at the risk of sounding cliche, everyone was a winner.
The teams then mixed into “blue” and “white” teams with each including players from both nations, and played another game.
While rugby is a contact sport, some of the images from this historical event are even more touching.

If that all wasn’t touching enough, our UAE brethren joined our team for Shabbat kiddush and hamotzi.

It isn’t just bread being broken, but the hearts of antisemites and Israel-haters around the world.
